On Monday the ECHO launched a culture survey at http://tinyurl.com/5tgcfq instead of just encouraging you to take part I thought I would let you see what my answers would be!
Thinking about the answers to the question has made me really nostalgic. There won't be another year like it for me in my career.
How often can do you get the chance to go to a lot fun culture events and call it work? Not often is the answer.
It has been a busy old year and I'm shattered! As, im sure, many of you are too. But it's a good tired.
I am looking forward though to seeing what happens in Liverpool next.

Do you think Capital of Culture 2008 was a success? YES

Do you think it was money well spent? YES

Did you get involved in Capital of Culture? er.........YES!

Do you think Capital of Culture benefited local people? absolutely more than most people think

Did you visit a museum, gallery or cultural attraction you had not previously visited? YEP the Tate and the Walker (little embarrassed to admit that)

Do you think Capital of Culture improved the city's image? 100% yes

What was your Capital of Culture highlight and why? Oh lord this is a tough one. My Capital of Culture highlight was the Viennese Balls. Rich and I had such a great night and I loved meeting Anton Du Beke and Erin Boag after they danced into the camera!
My community highlight(s) was the Emperor and the Tiger, Generation 21, The Big Dance, Pavilions project, Belle Vale fun day, Shakespeare 24hr festival, Go Superlambananas, Brouhaha, Children's festival and Maghull School's 'Tales from the Melling Road'. Ok so that was more than one but I went to so many it is hard to pick!

Who was your Capital of Culture hero/heroine and why? All of the people in the culture company who worked behind the scenes to make initiatives like Generation 21 work and all of the artists that went into the communities and changed lives. And Phil Redmond of course!!!

What was a success? The communities programmes. I saw the faces and heard the laughter of those involved.

What was a disappointment? Personally not being able to get to more community events and not knowing about some until they were over :(

What - if anything - was missing? really can't think

What was your favourite event? out of the list below the Opening weekend. I was so nervous as it was my first video attempt but afterwards I had a buzz I can't remember having for a long time.

a) La Machine b) Go Superlambananas! c) The opening weekend d) Tall Ships e) Liverpool Sound f) Viennese ball g) MTV Awards h) Klimt at the Tate i) King Lear j) Mathew Street k) another.......
