An Introduction

Posted by Sam on January 4, 2008 4:04 PM |

Well I hope this works! I have never had a blog before and I am still trying to navigate my way around how to do this.
Anyway....
Happy New Year, all the best to everyone for 2008.

I have the fantastic job this year of looking after the Capital of Culture events for the Liverpool Daily Post and Echo. I really can't wait.
I think the main part of my role is to report on what the wider communities are doing to celebrate the year. To be able to this I need to know what you are doing!
Within the blog and on the website, through the papers and with a bit of video thrown in we are planning to cover as much as we can this year.
Our promise is to give your event a mention whether online, in print or in my blog. All events that I am aware of will be loaded onto a calendar we are currently developing which will go on both websites.
2008 is about everybody getting involved and celebrating what is great about Liverpool.
If you have an event you want to tell me about call me on 07776495814 or email on samantha.parker@liverpool.com or post a message on the bottom of this page and I will do my best to get back to you asap!!
I am off to the Echo Arena tonight to meet the thousands of people who have volunteered to be ambassadors for the year to promote Liverpool home and away and have a nosey around.
I hope it is as amazing as it looks in the pictures the Echo ran earlier. Check out the video I make tonight by logging on to either the Post or Echo's website.
Actually need to dash and get the camera ready.
I promise my posts will get less boring as time goes on!!

Hello, of course I came to visit your site and thanks for letting me know about it.
I just read this post and wanted to say it is full of number one resources. Some I am familiar with. For those who don’t know these other sites they are in for a treat as there is a lot to learn there.
